LIVE MUSIC WITH SWINGATTO

Thursday, September 17th & Saturday, September 26th | 7-10pm

SwinGatto is a swing and gypsy jazz band based in the Bay! Originally founded in London in 2014. The project currently features Joe Yamamoto on the violin and Antonio Feula on guitar. The band's repertoire includes original gypsy jazz songs as well as Django Reinhardt covers and many other great tunes from the 1920s and 1930s. Check out some of their live tracks here!

 

LIVE MUSIC WITH TOM EDLER & JEFF HOBBS

Friday, September 18th | 7-10pm

Join us as Tom Edler & Jeff Hobbs delve into jazz and Grateful Dead-inspired tunes. Edler's bass grooves are a perfect match with Hobbs - a multi-instrumentalist who will be gracing CURIO this week playing the violin. this is an act you don't want to miss!

JAZZ BRUNCH SATURDAY with Citizens Jazz

Saturday, September 19th | 12-3pm

CITIZENS JAZZ is an Oakland based band rooted in the traditions of jazz, soul, funk, Latin, with an added level of experimentation. Led by upright & electric bassist Caroline Chung joined by Berkeley based guitarist Khalil Foal-Anthony. Together they Jazz it up while you sit back in our patio, looking effortlessly cool sippin' on one of out specialty brunch cocktails!

Joseph Anthony Cañas is 25 year old guitarist, harmonica player, and singer who enjoys playing the genres of music that derive from American Blues. He has played in three bands covering many styles from hip hop to rock n roll. As a fan of improvisational jamming, He has recently decided to adopt a one-man-band style and travel around the Bay Area to see where music can take him... and that’s how he ended up here at Curio! LIVE MUSIC WITH THATCHER BOOMER

Thatcher Boomer is an indomitable force within the SF Bay Area music scene, performing mainly with the John Brothers Piano Company as a pianist and clarinetist. His repertoire of music pulls classical influences into speakeasy swing and stride piano. Prepare for original songs, standards, and more than a nod to the classics - high energy bop and slow dance sweetness to circle your night.

SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE MUSIC WITH CAMINOS ACOUSTIC DUO

Sunday, September 20th | 7-10pm

Intimate, passionate, and intense sounds flow like water with Carlos’ upbeat acoustic music. Latin American Music and Flamenco are merged in a colorful setlist that includes well-known tunes from diverse styles such as Tango, Flamenco, Jazz, Bolero, and more. Carlos Caminos on the acoustic guitar with special guest, Vincent de Jesús, a composer and multi-percussionist, come together to create beautiful sounds to indulge your evening and make it a memorable one.
