Carlos Caminos is a Flamenco and Latino Guitarist with a strong focus on improvisation, technique and a broad repertoire that includes music from Venezuela, Colombia, Argentina, the U.S., Caribbean and Spain. He grew up in Venezuela studying Jazz and performing with Salsa, Merengue and Cumbia groups. He gradually began diving deeper and deeper into the tradition of Flamenco Guitar until he moved to Spain to study with Flamenco Masters of Andalucía. Carlos Caminos also composes music for Contemporary Dance and Physical Theater performances.
He has been living in the Bay Area since 2015, and performed in venues such as Yoshi’s, Yerba Buena and the Sound Room with a variety of projects and artist such as The Musical Art Quintet, Rebecca Kleinman Quintet, Theater Flamenco of San Francisco and Electronic Tango Group “Los Tangueros del Oeste” directed by Sascha Jacobsen whose album was nominated for the Latin Grammys in 2022.
